Found starved and abandoned on a dirt road near the Texas border with his brother Rio, Ranger has had a tough start in life. Understandably, he's cautious and shy around new people, especially men, but with a little patience and kindness, he warms up quickly—especially if treats are involved! Ranger is incredibly food-motivated, making him easy to train. He's already crate and house trained, with a medium energy level that's perfect for an active family. While Ranger is scared, he has never shown any aggression or fear biting, there is not a mean bone in this guy's body!
Ranger is looking for a loving home that will help build his confidence through positive reinforcement and training. We even have a trainer on hand who is eager to help him continue to grow in his new home. He's great with other dogs and is okay with cats, though he may need a bit more training to resist the urge to chase them.
