Meet our team

As president, Juliana brings a unique perspective  to the rescue's mission. Having worked as a veterinary technician for six years, she possesses a deep understanding of animal health and welfare. This hands-on experience has equipped her with valuable skills in medical care, handling, and behavior management. Alongside her professional background, Juliana is a devoted pet parent to seven dogs, each holding a special place in her heart. Losing her Great Dane, Hendrix, served as a catalyst for her to create a rescue organization dedicated to promoting ethical breeding programs and eradicating puppy mills and backyard breeders. Through FTLODR's advocacy, education, and rescue efforts, she is determined to ensure that no more dogs or families suffer the same fate and that every canine finds a loving and responsible forever home.

Mia is our Intake Coordinator and Kennel Manager! She provides newly surrendered dogs with daily love and care while they undergo initial vet care and quarantine. She also oversees the day to day kennel operations for our facility. Mia has 3 dogs of her own; Jax the pit bull, Jolene the shih-poo, and Chewy the Yorkie! Mia has always found dogs to be the perfect best friends and is so happy to work with the dogs and puppies at For the Love of Dog Rescue!
